PM Modi Meets Xi and Putin at Tianjin SCO Gathering: Highlights from SCO Summit 2025

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the SCO Summit 2025 in Tianjin, China, on 30 August 2025. This is his visit to China after 7 years, which is very important for improving India-China relations and global diplomacy. This summit will begin tomorrow and will continue for two days, in which Modi ji and world leaders will together deliberate on major issues.

China is hosting this summit for the fifth time, where President Xi Jinping will chair the proceedings. 20+ heads of state and leaders of 10 international organizations are participating in this event. Among the most prominent names are PM Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In this conference, Modi ji emphasized regional security, India’s firm stand against terrorism, and advancing trade and cooperation.

PM Modi’s Arrival: Warm Welcome in Tianjin

According to the report of our correspondent, as soon as PM Narendra Modi landed at Tianjin Airport and headed towards the hotel, the entire atmosphere was very energetic and festive. Members of the Indian community welcomed him with great enthusiasm. Slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” “Vande Mataram,” and “Modi-Modi” resounded.

  • On reaching the hotel, a special cultural program was organized.
  • Chinese women artists, who were trained by Indian maestros in Indian classical music, presented “Vande Mataram” on sitar, santoor, and tabla.
  • After this, Chinese dancers performed graceful recitals of Bharatanatyam, Odissi, and Kathak, which mesmerized the audience.

PM Modi’s welcome in Tianjin became a vibrant Indo-China cultural fusion. On one hand, we got to see the love and passion of the Indian community, while on the other hand, the Chinese performers created an unforgettable evening in the light of Indian culture. Now all eyes are on the SCO Summit 2025 deliberations starting tomorrow, where Modi ji and global leaders will prepare the roadmap for a new decade.
